Designed circa 2005, the original hand-made designs, from which the entire collection emanated, are a one-of-a-kind rare collectible minaudiere and matching earrings in varying shades of green tourmaline with diamond accent.
Darby Scott's quickly grew to include semi-precious and diamond mosaic jewelry collection includes stacking rings, jumbo cocktail rings and pendants large and small and bracelets. All are set with colorful semi-precious stones with diamond accents set in 18k white or yellow gold or sterling silver.
The corresponding handbag mosaic range also uses semi-precious stones cast in base metals for ornaments on bags in leather and exotic skins.
Darby always builds her collections purposefully and fully; a design esthetic becomes a repeated 'signature', which can be seen in many iterations through a full range of jewelry and handbag designs.
Much like a painters own brush stroke style or a composers repeated musical refrain, Darby will repeat her signature stylistic elements-each time with a slight twist - choosing new stone combinations and colors to make the mosaic clusters and constellations fresh and new with each new casting and placement.
