On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, Queen Silvia presented the EAACI PhARF Award to young researchers in the allergy research field. The Award was created by Uppsala University through a grant from Thermo Fisher Scientific, Immuno Diagnostic.
Queen Silvia presented the Award to 2022 laureate María Escribese from Spain and 2023 laureate Milena Sokolowska from Switzerland. In her speech, she said:
“It makes me very proud to reward the work of two young leading scientists who have made outstanding contributions to advancing the understanding of allergic conditions. I hope that your work inspires other young scientists. To enable you to continue your important work, your respective universities will receive a considerable research grant. “
